About CanaVee

CanaVee is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing trailblazing research-based, patient-centered solutions around cannabis. CanaVee was founded by South Florida native, Denise Vidot, Ph.D., an Epidemiologist certified in Cannabis Patient Care, with over 10 years of research experience. CanaVee aims to educate and empower patients, doctors, scientists and the community at large on to current state of cannabis science related to health outcomes.

Denise C. Vidot, PhD is the founder of CanaVee, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing trailblazing research-based, patient-centered solutions with her community.

Dr. Vidot is also an Epidemiologist and tenured-track Assistant Professor at the University of Miami School of Nursing and Health Studies where she is the Principal Investigator of the Cannabis Health and Fitness Laboratory.

Dr. Vidot’s research interest is centered upon physical health outcomes of substance use and abuse across the lifespan among racial/ethnic minority populations. Specifically, she examines cardiovascular and metabolic outcomes among cannabis users from an epidemiological perspective. Dr. Vidot is also interested in the cardiovascular and metabolic health outcomes among HIV patients (and those at risk for HIV) who use cannabis.
